GBVF IS NOT NORMAL-SAYS MOHALE

“GBVF is not normal, and we should never tolerate it. It can happen to anyone. We must stand up and fight it wherever it tries to raise its ugly head,” said Cllr Maite Mohale during the South African Police Service Community Outreach at Limpopo Mall in Polokwane on 11 December 2025.
She further emphasized that the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide is not the responsibility of the police alone. “GBVF happens in our own homes and communities. Report it, speak out, and become part of a strong collective combatting this scourge.”
“Let us support survivors to rise, heal and become conquerors,” said Cllr Mohale.
