EXECUTIVE MAYOR’S EASTER MESSAGE

This is not only the time to reflect on Christ’s triumph over death, but also to reunite with our loved ones and celebrate Family Day. But whichever way you choose to spend your Easter weekend, we plead with you to welcome visitors from across the country and beyond.

We expect mobility and traffic to rise during this period on our district, provincial and national roads. We therefore appeal to all road users to refrain from distracted driving and increase their level of patience, consideration and tolerance for other road users.

Whether you’re travelling near or far, please exercise caution and make time to rest, avoid alcohol and protect vulnerable groups such as women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities from violence and other acts of inhumanity.
