The Executive Mayor Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo at Ratanang Special School at Senwabarwana in Blouberg Municipality to give her support to the learners taking part in the Capricorn North School Camp at the school.The camp was attended by just over three-hundred grade 12 learners, from seventy-five schools in Capricorn North Circuit. The camp started on 01 to 06 October 2023, with the learners from the mathematics and science streams. The schools are Blouberg, Molemole and Polokwane Municipalities.
Speaking to the learners the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo said, “You have met learners from other schools, made new friendships and opened to each other about your experiences. You also met teachers from other schools who teach differently from your class teachers, but one thing they have in common is that they all believe in your abilities. I am confident you have used this environment to ask questions, seek help, and share your knowledge. Remember, the more you give, the more you receive,”
She also advised the learners not to be too hard on themselves, if they feel overwhelmed they should always find a person to talk to. Speaking to them as a Mother, she urged them to always remember their parents, who work hard to be able to take them to school.
