EXECUTIVE MAYOR LEADS MANDELA DAY OF SERVICE AT MAKURUNG MULTIPURPOSE CENTRE

As part of the outreach, the Executive Mayor handed over much-needed items, including a water tank, paint, gardening tools, a cooking stove, a wheelchair and other essential donations to support the centre and improve the lives of those it serves.

The team also rolled up their sleeves, taking part in gardening, painting and other maintenance activities to help enhance the facility.

Addressing those present, Cllr. Teffo reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and pledged to return to the centre with additional assistance based on its identified needs. She encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of Nelson Mandela by making a positive difference in their communities through selfless acts of service. The Executive Mayor was also joined by a team from South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
