EXECUTIVE MAYOR JOINS MEC MATHYE IN A VISIT TO GA-MASHASHANE POLICE STATION AND THE LEDWABA FAMILY AT SEBORA.

Capricorn District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo together with MEC for Community Safety Violet Mathye visited the Ga-Mashashane Police Station, and the Ledwaba Family in Sebora Village on 01 July 2025. This follows the recent incident that happened in the Sebora Village where a 40 year old suspect murdered his 87 year old mother, Francina Ledwaba, dismembered her body and put the body parts into plastic buckets.
Lesiba David Ledwaba (Suspect) has since appeared at the Seshego Magistrate Court yesterday. He is facing a charge of murder. Ledwaba is to appear in the Seshego Magistrate Court again on 09 July 2025.
During the visit to the Ledwaba family, MEC Violet Mathye, on behalf of the delegation, expressed her heartfelt condolences to the Ledwaba family and assured them of their support during this time of bereavement. The MEC also commended the police for the work they have done.
The Executive Mayor, Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo, also conveyed her deepest sympathies to the family. She shared words of comfort and encouraged the family to remain strong and united during this difficult time. Details of the funeral will be communicated at a later stage.
