“Vaccination is cool, is cool to vaccinate”, this was the message to young people from Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe.
The Executive Mayor joined the Premier of Limpopo Stanley Mathabatha, MEC for Sport Art and Culture and MEC for Health Phophi Ramathuba in a vaccination rollout program targeting people in the sport arts and culture and creatives fraternity held at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane on 24 August 2021.
Sydney Ramakuela popularly known as Mulalo from Muvhango said, “We, the youth of Limpopo, want to be the first on line to take vaccine. We want our lives back. We want to go back to stadiums, churches, entertainment and having our social gatherings”. “We want our Mapungubwe arts festival back”, said Mphoza Mashabela.
“We can only do that if we vaccinate. We encourage everyone to vaccinate. We want our lives back”, added Mashabela.
The message from Premier was very clear, “Covid-19 kills, those of us who have vaccinated, let’s encourage those who have not, to do so now”.
