EXECUTIVE MAYOR HELD ENGAGEMENTS WITH THE HDA

As the municipality continues to explore ways of strengthening collaboration and enhancing stakeholder engagement, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, held an engagement with the Housing Development Agency (HDA) on 01 April 2026 at the Executive Mayor’s Boardroom in Polokwane.

During the meeting, the HDA, led by Chief Executive Officer Bheki Khenisa, delivered a detailed presentation outlining potential collaboration plans with the Capricorn District Municipality. The agency, a national public entity responsible for identifying, acquiring, preparing, and developing land for human settlement purposes, indicated its commitment to working closely with national, provincial, and local government structures.

The Executive Mayor expressed appreciation to the HDA delegation for their interest in partnering with the district and reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that promote sustainable service delivery, including improved access to human settlements and water provision to communities across the district.
