Set against the vibrant backdrop of Women’s Month, the event served not only as a celebration of artistry, but also as a powerful reminder of the role women play in shaping South Africa’s cultural landscape.
Executive Mayor Cllr.Teffo, a long-time advocate for women’s empowerment and creative expression, delivered a passionate address encouraging women in the arts to claim their space boldly.
“Art has the power to heal, to provoke, and to inspire change. As women, your voices are powerful. Your stories matter. This district stands with you – not just today, but every day,” said Teffo.
She further applauded the Limpopo Artist Movement for creating a platform that elevates female voices and called for more investment in women-led creative initiatives.
As Women’s Month continues, the Executive Mayor reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to supporting women’s development, especially in spaces where their talents have historically been overlooked.
