Executive Mayor John Mpe has officially met business people in a stakeholders meet and greet session that was held on 19 January 2017 at Polokwane Royal Hotel in Polokwane. The Executive Mayor declared Capricorn District Municipality’s commitment to high-impact local economic development & strengthen partnerships with them in order to grow the local economy and create much-needed jobs. “It is in our collective interest and the interest of the people of Capricorn District for your businesses to thrive and grow so we can fight socio-economic challenges of the day – key being unemployment which you are fighting through your various business activities”, said the Executive Mayor.
The session was attended by Speaker Cllr Nakedi Lekganyane, Chief Whip Cllr Calvin Masoga, Members of the Mayoral Committee, Acting Municipal Manager, businesses in various sectors such as consultants, contractors, specialists, suppliers, media and others.
