DCC concerned about low vaccination turn out

The Capricorn District Command Council has expressed concern about low vaccination turnout among people aged 35 and older. This was in response to the reports that only 12% of the district population aged 35 and older have so far been vaccinated since the rollout of their vaccination programme on 1 August 2021.
The DCC has noted that the low turnout could be ascribed to people who are hesitant because of personal fears, concerns, questions or misinformation – which could be allayed if government intensifies education and awareness campaigns and counselling. The DCC has therefore vowed to embark on such campaign and join provincial and national government in encouraging everyone who is eligible to vaccinate to do so and protect themselves against covid-19.
The DCC therefore calls on those who are 35 years and older to visit the following sites for vaccination this week.
Blouberg (Helena Franx hospital, Makgato Taxi rank, Inveraan, Kibi, Maleboho)
Lepelle-Nkumpi (ZB hospital,Lebowakgomo hospital, Mafefe Clinic, Mall @Lebo, Rafiri village, Mphahlele taxi rank, Malemati clinic)
