COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN ACTION: DEVREDE WATER PROJECT UPDATE TO COMMUNITY

Engaging with communities effectively doesn’t require a formal setup. The Clean Audit Municipality recognizes the importance of direct community participation in decision-making and service delivery.
MMC for Infrastructure Services, Cllr. Maite Mohale, led a community feedback meeting at Devrede Village in Blouberg Local Municipality on 19 March 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to update residents on the progress of the Devrede Water Project.
Discussions focused on challenges, ongoing engagements regarding long-term water solutions, and interim measures to ensure a consistent water supply for the community.
Residents attended in large numbers, eager to receive first-hand information on the latest project developments. They expressed appreciation for the municipality’s efforts and emphasized the need for regular communication to stay informed about ongoing work behind the scenes.
