CDM Council Chief Whip Cllr Calvin Masoga took his second jab of the Covid-19 vaccine on Friday, 20 August 2021.
While doing so, the Chief Whip recounted this experience with the vaccine. “I took my first dose here weeks ago and there were no side effects, today I’m back for my second dose”, he said.
“If you are 18 years and older, you are encouraged to take your ID to any vaccination site near you and get vaccinated”, said Chief Whip.
On the other side at Botlokwa hospital, the 18 – 34 age group commenced with their vaccination. There were mixed emotions at the hospital que with those that came to receive their jab.
A 26 year old man said, “I am happy to be in the first group of people that got vaccinated today. I was affected by the third wave and it was unbelievable to me. I was one of those who did not believe the virus existed. I therefore advise all young people to vaccinate”.
