CDM to contributes 67 minutes for Mandela Day at Khureng Disability Centre

In July every year, South Africa celebrates former president Nelson Mandela’s birthday. 18 July has been declared Nelson Mandela International Day, but as South Africans we embrace the chance to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life for the whole of July. This gives everyone the opportunity to heed the call to action for people to recognize their individual power to make an imprint and change the world around them.

As Capricorn District Municipality, every year we work closely with our business partners in making sure that we make everyday a Mandela Day by contributing 67 minutes of our time to help those in need. CDM will be participating at the Provincial Mandela Day for the Premier on the 18^th July 2018 at Sekutupu old age home in Zebediela in Lepelle-Nkumpi. On the 25^th July, the Executive Mayor, Cllr J Mpe will host the district Mandela Day dedicated at caring for people living with disabilities at Khureng Disability Centre situated in Zebediela in Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality.

Sponsors who would like to donate something  to the Old Age Centre on the 18^th July it can be the following: food parcels, blankets, wool and needle crochets. The District Mandela Day will take place on the 25^th at Khureng Disability Centre in Lepelle-Nkumpi that has 56 people living with disabilities and they are being taken care of by 14 carers.
