Working together to enhance oversight in the municipality, Capricorn District Municipality has launched the District Municipal Public Accounts Committee Forum. The launch was held on 07 February 2022 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The forum will be used as platform to share knowledge, resources and become a capacity building driver for the oversight committee in the district and its local municipalities namely Lepelle-Nkumpi, Blouberg, Molemole and Polokwane.
As part of the launch, presentations were shared with the committee outlining the role of MPACs, it’s responsibility as an oversight, audit and risk matters, the exit report and the Municipal Structures Amendment Act 3 of 2000.
Presentations were offered by the Limpopo Department of Cooperative Governance Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA), CDM audit, risk and MPAC Offices. The launch was attended by Speakers and MPAC members from CDM local municipalities.
