The Inter-Government Relations Forum, Mayor-Magoshi focuded on the presentation of the CDM App which is a tool that will enable fast tracking of service delivery to communities. “This initiative results from many service delivery enquiries and complaints that have been reported to the municipality which take time to reach the relevant office for implementation and intervention,” said the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo.
In her address, she expressed that the decision to create this innovative platform stemmed from concerns and frustrations regarding water supply interruptions and other essential services. Residents often found it challenging to report these issues due to the lack of real-time communication channels and lengthy bureaucratic processes involved in reporting to the District Municipality. Delays in receiving complaints adversely affected the Municipality’s response time in addressing breakdowns, leading some residents to seek recourse through social media, radio stations, and newspapers.
