Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) convened a Community Safety Forum at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium on 10 October 2025. The forum met to deliberate on pressing safety and security issues affecting communities across the district.The session brought together stakeholders from law enforcement agencies, municipalities, sector departments, and community representatives to strengthen collaboration and promote integrated safety initiatives.
The meeting was chaired by the MMC for Sports, Arts and Culture, Cllr. Makhura, who emphasized the importance of coordinated action in addressing crime prevention, substance abuse, gender-based violence, and community policing.
Through the forum, CDM reaffirms its commitment to creating safer, more resilient communities where residents can live, work, and thrive in a secure environment.
