CDM HOST ETHICS, RULES AND INTEGRITY COMMITTEE WORKING SESSION

Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) Ethics, Rules and Integrity Committee successfully hosted a two-day working session at Landmark Hotel from 24–25 June 2026, bringing together committee members, Chairpersons of Ethics, Rules and Integrity Committees from local municipalities, and Councillors.

The session focused on strengthening ethical leadership, governance, accountability, and integrity within local government structures.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Mayor, Cllr Elizabeth Rahlana (MMC for Community Services) emphasised the importance of ethical leadership and strong governance in building public trust and improving service delivery. She encouraged councillors and officials to use the session to enhance oversight, uphold integrity, and develop practical solutions for a more accountable and responsive Capricorn District Municipality.

The session concluded with renewed commitment from participants to promote transparency, ethical conduct, and improved governance across all municipal structures.
