CDM Council has appointed an Acting Municipal Manager. Ms Molatelo Mashego, the Executive Manager for Development Planning and Environmental Management Services has been appointed to take over from Ms Thuso Nemugumoni who has served as the Acting Municipal Manager since January 2021. Ms Molatelo’s acting started today – 6th January 2022.
The appointment of the Acting Municipal Manager is in line with Section 82 of the Local Government: Municipal Structures Act, No. 117 of 1998, which provides for, and vests the appointment of municipal managers and acting municipal managers with the municipal council.
The Council has thanked Ms Nemugumoni for her sterling work during her acting period and also congratulated Ms Mashego as a new Acting Municipal Manager.
