CDM AND NDHS DELIVER DISASTER RELIEF MATERIALS IN BLOUBERG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Capricorn District Municipality (CDM), in partnership with the National Department of Human Settlements (NDHS) and the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC), continued their disaster relief efforts by handing over materials to disaster beneficiaries in Blouberg Local Municipality.
The materials provided will be used to construct structures for residents who were affected by devastating thunderstorms in the Blouberg Local Municipality. The intervention follows thorough assessments conducted by both CDM and the NDHS.
The handover is part of the broader response strategy aimed at restoring dignity and shelter to residents affected by natural disasters across the Capricorn District.
One grateful beneficiary Mr Seema from the Miltonduff village and Mr Calvin Mamolele from Chabanpula, expressed appreciation for the support. “I am very thankful and relieved to receive these materials from the disaster management team and the municipal. He added, “This will truly make a difference as I was homeless but now I will have a home,”said Seema.
In total there were 66 beneficiaries from Ward 2, 3, 4, 10, 14, 15, 17 & 18 within the Blouberg Municipal. The handover took place on 21 May 2025.
