“I know the pressure is too much, but this camp is a sign of how much, as the municipality, we appreciate and believe in you. I want to see Capricorn reclaiming its 2021 Top Position and I’m counting on you. I wish you all the best,” said Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo at the Grade 12 School Camp program for the Capricorn South District learners at Pax College in Vaalkop under Polokwane Local Municipality on 07 October 2023.The session started with a briefing wherein the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo and Acting Mayor of Polokwane Municipality Cllr Alfred Moakamedi were briefed by District Director Tinyiko Nkuzana on the status of the program in the district.
The learners thanked the Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo for the support and for dedicating her family time to be with them. “We appreciate you and we promise that like fruitful fruits we will rise and blossom. We know we need all the support we can get, we came here to learn and now we must apply what we learned to achieve the best. We know you will walk on stage in January 2024,” promised leaners.
The 429 learners from all 16 circuits in the Capricorn South District commenced with the camp on Sunday 01 October 2023. These were top learners from disadvantaged schools and the camp was the last for the year 2023.
