The Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo received a Clean Audit Award from the Auditor General of South Africa for the 2021-22 financial year which was handed over by the Premier of Limpopo Province, Hon. Chupu Mathabatha and the Office of Auditor General on 30 May 2023 in Polokwane.The ceremony took place in the Premier’s office with the attendance of the MEC of Coghsta, Hon Basikomo Makamu and MEC for Provincial Treasury, Hon Seaparo Sekoati.
The Executive Mayor was accompanied by the MMC for Finance, Cllr Maria Ramokolo, Municipal Manager Ramakuntwane Selepe, Acting Chief Financial Officer, Tiro Pilusa and Chief Audit Executive, Tebogo Gafane.
“I’m very excited to receive this Clean Audit Award. I must give credit to our team of hardworking councillors, our very effective Municipal Public Account Committee (MPAC) and Audit Committee, our team of committed and hardworking officials led by the Municipal Manager,” said Executive Mayor upon receiving the award.
Waterberg District Municipality was also there to receive their awards on Clean Audit.
