Councillors play a vital role in municipal governance by representing the interests and concerns of the communities they serve. Through council meetings, they participate in debates, consider and approve municipal policies and budgets, and contribute to decisions that guide the Municipality’s development priorities and service delivery programmes. They also help ensure that community needs are brought to the attention of the Municipality and that municipal leadership remains accountable for its decisions and performance.
Cllr. Boshomane’s swearing-in took place as Capricorn District Municipality continued its work of promoting responsive governance, strengthening community representation and advancing service delivery across the district.
