MMC MONITORED PROGRESS OF THE SEFALAOLO SANITATION PROJECT

On 15 July 2026, the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) responsible for Infrastructure Services, Cllr Maite Mohale, conducted a project monitoring visit to the Sefalaolo Sanitation Project in Ga-Mphahlele, Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality.

The visit was attended by representatives of the Mphahlele Traditional Council, underscoring the importance of collaboration in ensuring the successful implementation of infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life for local communities.

The Lepelle-Nkumpi Rural Sanitation Programme is being implemented across six villages, namely Sefalaolo, Mashite, Seruleng sa Ga-Mphahlele, Tjiane, Mogodi, and Matome (ZB). Each village has been allocated 100 VIP sanitation toilets, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 600 households. The programme forms part of Capricorn District Municipality’s ongoing commitment to improving access to safe, hygienic, and dignified sanitation services in rural communities.

Through regular project monitoring and oversight, Capricorn District Municipality remains committed to delivering sustainable sanitation infrastructure, ensuring quality workmanship, accountability, and the timely completion of projects that positively impact the lives of residents.
