Capricorn District Municipality today hosted the IMESA Northern Provinces Branch Technical Seminar and ECSA Engagement at the CDM Council Chamber under the theme: “Engineering Governance in Action: Professionalisation, Compliance and Strategic Infrastructure Delivery.”
The seminar brought together engineering professionals, municipal officials, industry partners and representatives from the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) to discuss engineering compliance, professionalisation, innovative technologies and sustainable infrastructure development.
In his opening remarks, Municipal Manager Mr Ramakuntwane Selepe welcomed delegates and highlighted the important role engineers play in improving service delivery and building resilient communities.
As part of the programme, delegates visited the Limpopo Central Academic Hospital Project, where ENZA Construction provided valuable insight into the planning, governance and implementation of one of Limpopo’s major infrastructure developments. The visit showcased the significance of engineering excellence, collaboration and professional standards in delivering quality public healthcare infrastructure.
IMESA Northern Provinces Branch Chairperson Mr Kwena Maphoto emphasised the value of such engagements in promoting knowledge sharing, industry collaboration and practical learning opportunities that contribute to infrastructure development across the province.
