CDM WITNESS SANDF CHANGE OF COMMAND PARADE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME

On 12 June 2026, the Whip of Council, Cllr Matome Masoga, represented the Executive Mayor, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, at the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) Regional Works Unit Limpopo Change of Command Parade held at the SA Army Support Base Limpopo, Gateway Airport in Polokwane.

The ceremony marked the official farewell to the outgoing Officer Commanding, Captain (SA Navy) Solly Mashigo, and also welcomed the incoming Officer Commanding, Colonel Lundi Ncubukezi.

The occasion honoured Captain Mashigo for his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure. The municipality also extended well wishes to Colonel Ncubukezi as he assumed his new responsibilities within the unit.

The event reflected continued cooperation between the Capricorn District Municipality and the SANDF in strengthening institutional relations and service delivery support.
