COMMUNITY SAFETY TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT GA-MATLALA.

Capricorn District Municipality today, 29 May 2026, hosted a Community Safety Forum Community Engagement Seminar at Ga-Matlala, aimed at strengthening community safety and fighting crime.
The engagement created a platform for residents to discuss how crime affects their daily lives and how communities can work together with structures such as the Community Safety Forum (CSF) to help create safer environments.
Presentations were delivered by the CSF (Capricorn District), Electoral Commission of South Africa, Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Departments of Social Development, Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Department of Education, Deparrment of Health, South African Social Security Agency, South African Police Service, and Eskom.
The seminar focused on encouraging collaboration between government departments, law enforcement agencies, and community members in addressing crime and social challenges affecting local communities.
