Capricorn District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo attended the finals of the Mamedupi Teffo Legacy Foundation (MTLF) Spelling Bee Competition on 14 May 2026 at Mashashane Primary School in Ga-Mashashane Moshate under Polokwane Municipality.
Representing Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Phaka Murwa expressed appreciation for the Mamedupi Teffo Legacy Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting education and empowering learners through academic initiatives.
The competition brought together both primary and secondary schools from the Maune, Koloti and Bahlaloga circuits under the Polokwane Cluster in Capricorn North of the Department of Education.
The Spelling Bee Competition aimed to improve learners’ spelling, pronunciation, reading and vocabulary skills while encouraging confidence, academic excellence and a culture of learning among young people.
