The Capricorn District Municipality has officially welcomed newly sworn-in Councillor Michael Thole of the Defenders of the People (DOP) as a new member of Council.
The Speaker of Council, Cllr Kholofelo Lehong, led the official welcome and introduced Cllr Thole, a PR Councillor from the Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality, who joins Council following the resignation of Cllr Kwadu Mogale, effective 01 April 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on 28 April 2026 at the Limpopo Regional Court in Polokwane.
The municipality warmly welcomes Cllr Thole and looks forward to his contribution towards strengthening Council’s work and improving service delivery across the Capricorn District.
