CDM Hosted Governance Model Workshop

Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) convened a Governance Model Workshop on 21 April 2026 at the Council Chamber, bringing together key stakeholders to reflect on and enhance the municipality’s governance framework.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, who set the stage for constructive engagement. This was followed by a presentation from the Whip of Council, Cllr Matome Masoga, who outlined the objectives of the workshop and highlighted the importance of reinforcing governance systems to support effective service delivery.

The workshop focused on refining structured approaches to decision-making, strengthening accountability and oversight mechanisms, and clarifying the roles and responsibilities between political leadership and administration. It also addressed critical areas such as risk management and strategic alignment, with the overall aim of improving coordination, performance, and institutional effectiveness within the municipality.
