Capricorn District Municipality (CDM), under the leadership of Executive Mayor Cllr. Mamedupi Teffo, walked away with multiple accolades in recognition of its outstanding financial management and governance excellence at the SALGA Moses ‘Big Moss’ Maluleke awards held at The Ranch Hotel outside Polokwane on 26 February 2026.The municipality received awards for achieving 100% spending of its initial Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) allocation, 100% spending of its additional MIG allocation, in-house preparation of Annual Financial Statements, not incurring any unauthorised expenditure during the 2024/25 audit cycle, and for sustaining a clean audit outcome.
These achievements affirm CDM’s commitment to sound financial management, accountability, and effective service delivery to its communities.
