CAPRICORN DISTRICT HEALTH WORKERS GO DOOR-TO-DOOR IN WASH AWARENESS DRIVE.

Community Healthcare Workers in the district conducted a door-to-door water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) campaign in parts of Seshego to prevent waterborne diseases. The campaign took place on 08 January 2026.
The initiative is led by the Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) in partnership with the Limpopo Department of Health and focuses on educating residents about safe water use, sanitation and hygiene practices.
The campaign follows unverified rumours on social media and reports of diarrhoeal cases. Authorities have clarified that there is no formal confirmation of water contamination, and preliminary tests show municipal water is safe for consumption. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with health workers and rely on official information.
