GA-KIBI COMMUNITIES GET UPDATE ON R30M WATER PROJECT.

On 27 November 2025, Capricorn District Municipality (CDM), led by Cllr. Maite Mohale, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Infrastructure, and a delegation of councillors officials, and representatives of residents of Ga-Kibi, met to assess progress on a water project in the area.
The over R30 million water project, still underway, promises to bring improved water access to four villages: Grootpan, Sias, Longden, and Ramaswikana.
Cllr. Mohale emphasized that consistent monitoring is key to ensuring quality work and timely completion, adding that the project is a vital investment in restoring dignity and strengthening service delivery in Ga-Kibi.
Residents welcomed the update, with the assurance that their long-standing water challenges are being addressed.
