Capricorn District Municipality commenced with the consultation process on the Draft 2021/2022 – 2025/2026 IDP/Budget program. The first consultaion meeting was held on 20 April 2021 in Polokwane with sector departments and parastatals.
The process seek to solicit comments and inputs on the Draft 2021/2022 – 2025/2026 IDP/Budget that was approved by council on 23 March 2021 during a virtual meeting. The draft IDP/ Budget was presented by Cllr Sammy Selamolela representing the Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe.
“We appreciate the support and inputs we receive from our sector departments and parastatals. This is in line with the District Development Model one plan one budget principle. The positive inputs we received today it’s a sign in the right direction and an effort to ensure collectively we own up to this plan”, said Cllr Sammy Selamolela who is also Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible (MMC) for Planning and Environmental Management Services (DPEMS)
The municipality expect to receive more inputs from various stakeholders during the consultation process with Magoshi , Business and Academic on 21 April 2021 and will end with NGOs and CBOs on 22 April 2021. Stakeholders were encouraged to continue to make written submissions addressed to the Acting Municipal Manager Thuso Nemugumoni. Closing date for submission of inputs is 07 May 2021.
