Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) continues with the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) sessions as mandated by legislation. The MPAC held a public hearing session with the senior management led by the Accounting Officer on 08 March 2019 at CDM Council Chamber.
The MPAC public hearing was held after a notice in terms of Section 44 of the Municipal Systems Act No. 32 of 2000 that a Public Hearing on the 2018/19 Mid-year Quarter Organisational Performance Report (Section 52 (d) Report) was issued.
The public was allowed to attend the session only as observers. The Accounting Officer and her executive management were responding to questions submitted to her office by the MPAC.
The MPAC public hearing follows the public participation session held on 01 March 2019 on the 2017/18 Draft Annual Report as well as other financial management and governance issues covering the period (2017/18 financial year).
