Capricorn District Municipality hosted a successful two day International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDR) Summit at St Marco Hall in Polokwane on 01 – 02 February 2018. The IDDR Summit brought together disaster, weather & environmental experts and disaster relief agencies at a two-day Disaster Summit to join brains, share practices & strategize on how best we can build disaster-resilient communities who can cope with disasters & recover quickly when disasters befall them. The Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe delivered the opening address and set a tone for the discussions & deliberations for the two days summit.
