Accountability and transparency remained central to good governance at Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) on 09 September 2026, as Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo responded to questions and comments raised by the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) during the Public Hearing on the Municipality’s 2025/2026 Fourth Quarter Performance Report.
The hearing, held at the CDM Council Chamber and led by MPAC Chairperson Cllr Lisbeth Mothata, provided a platform for oversight, accountability and constructive engagement on the Municipality’s performance.
The Executive Mayor, together with the municipal administration, responded to questions from MPAC, reaffirming CDM’s commitment to transparent governance, continuous improvement and responsive service delivery.
Members of the public, stakeholders and the media attended as observers, reinforcing the importance of openness and public participation in municipal governance.
