Capricorn District Municipality continues to put communities first by engaging directly with residents to improve access to reliable water services.
On 2 July 2026, the Municipality, led by MMC for Infrastructure, Cllr Maite Mohale, representing Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, met with the Mmamokhibidu community in the Blouberg Local Municipality to discuss progress on the ongoing water infrastructure project. The municipal delegation also included project contractors responsible for implementing the project.
The engagement followed a request from community members who sought updates on the project’s implementation and an opportunity to raise concerns affecting the delivery of the project.
During the meeting, municipal officials provided detailed feedback on the project’s progress, responded to questions from residents, and reaffirmed the Municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous community engagement. The Municipality also committed to working closely with the community and all stakeholders to address outstanding issues and ensure the successful completion of the project.
