On 24 April 2026, the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, visited the Thobejane family in Mafefe to extend heartfelt condolences following the passing of Mampuru Prince Thobejane, brother to Kgoši Dimo Thobejane.
The visit formed part of the Municipality’s commitment to standing with communities during times of grief and loss. Cllr Teffo expressed deep sympathy to the family and shared words of comfort during this difficult and painful period.
She further emphasised the importance of unity, compassion, and support in moments of bereavement, noting that the loss is felt not only by the immediate family but also by the wider community.
