On 23 April 2026, the Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, Cllr Mamedupi Teffo, led a municipal delegation on a courtesy visit to the Molepo family in Ivy Park, Polokwane, following the passing of Mr Makgalemele Donald Molepo, the father of Polokwane Executive Mayor, Cllr John Mpe.
The visit was conducted as a gesture of solidarity and support during a period of mourning, with Capricorn District Municipality joining the Molepo and Mpe families, as well as the broader community, in honouring the life and legacy of Mr Molepo. His passing has been deeply felt beyond his immediate family, touching many who knew and respected him.
Capricorn District Municipality has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Molepo and Mpe families, relatives, and friends during this difficult time.
Mr Molepo will be laid to rest on Sunday, 26 April 2026. The funeral service will commence at 07h00 at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
