Executive Mayor Cllr Mamedupi Teffo says the goal of the municipalityβs flagship multi-year water projects is to ensure communities have access to clean drinking water, urging contractors to deliver on expectations.She led a Mayoral Outreach Programme to monitor progress on projects in Lepelle Nkumpi, starting at the nearly completed Stocks E Reservoir.
The team also inspected water infrastructure in Stocks C, D, B and A, including pipelines, tanks and boreholes.
The visit concluded in Lebowakgomo, where the Mayor assessed the completed Groothoek pipeline which is waiting for testing before it can be commissioned.
The Executive Mayor was accompanied by members of the Mayoral Committee, Municipal Manager and the Municipal Infrastructure team. The inspections took place on 24 March 2026.
