On 21 November 2025, Capricorn District Municipality marked District AIDS Day and Batho Pele at Inveraan Village, Ga-Malebogo, in Blouberg Local Municipality. The event was led by MMC Cllr Hilda Makhura and the Co-Chairperson of the District AIDS Council, Rev. Awedzani Nemaukhwe.The commemoration highlighted the district’s commitment to the National Strategic Plan on HIV, TB and STIs and the policy framework of the Limpopo Provincial AIDS Council. In true Batho Pele spirit, government services were brought directly to the community. The Department of Home Affairs deployed five mobile trucks to assist residents with ID applications, birth certificates and other essential services.
Several government departments and private organisations joined the programme, ensuring a successful outreach. Ward Councillor Manaka and Malebogo Moshate expressed their appreciation to the district for hosting a meaningful and impactful event.
