THREE WATER PROJECTS FOR THREE COMMUNITIES IN BOTLOKWA

The cost of Dipateng Water Supply project is over R5m with 20 job opportunities to be created. The work commenced on 16 August 2023 and is expected to be completed by 29 February 2024. The scope of work on the project includes:

– the construction of a water reticulation system with a total length of approximately 1, 500m of uPVC bulk water supply pipelines of 90mm for Dipateng.

– Construction of a water reticulation system with a total length of approximately 5, 000m of uPVC bulk water supply pipelines of 75mm for Dipateng.

– Installation of one-hundred-and-twenty standpipes for Dipateng.

On the other hand the Sekhwama Water Supply cost is estimated at over R9m with twenty job opportunities to be created. the work  commenced on 16 August 2023 and completion is expected to be on 29 February 2024.

The scope of work for the project includes:

– testing, equipping and electrification of two existing boreholes.

– Construction of approximately 4, 200m of uPVC bulk water supply and reticulation pipelines.

– Installation of thirty standpipes.

– Installation of a new 200 00kl elevated steel tank.

– Fencing of boreholes and storage facilities with palisade fence.

The last project was Ramatjowe Water Supply which is estimated at a cost of over R13m with twenty job opportunities to be created. The work commenced on 16 August 2023, with planned completion date as 29 February 2024.

The scope of work for the project includes:

– sitting, drilling and testing of three new boreholes.

– Equipping and electrification of three boreholes.

– Construction of approximately 7,000m of uPVC bulk water supply and reticulation pipelines.

– Installation of fifty standpipes.

– Installation of a new 200, 00kl elevated steel tank.

– Fencing of boreholes and storage facilities with palisade fence.

Cllr. Masoga urged the community in all three villages to work together with everyone involved in the work, for the smooth running of the project construction.
