As we begin the year 2018, I take this opportunity to wish all our staff, Council members and residents of our District a prosperous new year. We hope the foregone year and the festive season have given us a much-needed motivation and a break to rest and recharge our strength so we can continue pursuing our common goal and deliver on our mandate of a better life for all in order to make 2018 better than 2017.
We are pleased that we begin this year with the pride we derive from our delivery achievements recorded in the previous year. We managed to retain our unqualified audit opinion as well as our Grade 5 status. We commend the management team, Council and staff for the sterling job and commitment.
We also take this opportunity to welcome all new members of staff who are joining us in 2018. We believe our organisational culture of excellence will be upon them so they can identify with our vision, embrace it and become our greatest assets and dependable ambassadors to the external stakeholders.
Let us unite and work together as a team, share knowledge, empower each other and build a dynamic workforce that stays responsive to the diverse needs of our people. Let us continue to work harder in making CDM a model institution. Let us recommit our wisdom, expertise and enthusiasm.
