The Mayors and Councillors within the Capricorn District Municipality, serving in the District Command Council embarked on a Covid-19 Roadshow held in all towns in the district on 06 July 2020.
The aim of the roadshows were to remind people to observe safety protocols and protect themselves against the virus. These were done in Polokwane CBD and surrounding malls, Lebowakgomo and Moletlane in Lepelle Nkumpi, Botlokwa Plaza in Molemole and Senwabarawana in Blouberg.
Pamphlets about precautionary measures were distributed and sanitization was done. The roadshow is a direct response to the exponential surge in new cases in the District which were noted by the District Command Council in their weekly meeting held on 01 July 2020.
Capricorn District Command Council (DCC) warned residents of the rapid rise in new Covid-19 cases within the district and urged residents to cooperate with government by observing all the COVID 19 protocols, guidelines and regulations to protect themselves against the virus.
