The Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality Cllr John Mpe has introduced with confidence to all staff members, the new Municipal Manager and executive managers who he believe are better equipped to direct the CDM boat in the right direction. The Executive Mayor was addressing CDM workers at Ngwako Ramathlodi sports complex on 07 February 2018. In his address he welcomed all staff members in the new year of 2018 and tabled his vision 2018. All workers from all Satellite offices and Head Office were present to listen the Executive Mayor. He introduced the new Accounting Officer, who was not new to CDM as she previously served the institution as an executive manager for Developmental Planning and Environmental Management Services (DPEMS) Ms Nokuthula Mazibuko and two other executive managers namely the Chief Financial Officer Mr Nonyani and Corporate Services Executive Manager Mr Machaba.
“I believe this team, led by Ms Mazibuko will take this district to greater heights. Ms Mazibuko is not new to this institution and i believe she possess the right qualifications and experience to lead this team. Our CFO is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Mr Machaba is a matured administrator with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). With such a team you can only expect more than the ordinary”, said Executive Mayor. It wont be business as usual at CDM. The municipality strive to retain qualified, experience, skills, and leadership qualities that will bring best strategies to take the municipal objectives forward.
On Monday, the Executive Mayor joined the Executive Management meeting to appreciate and congratulate the new Executive Managers who joined the institution on 01 February 2018 o n their first weekly executive management meeting. He congratulated the new team and encouraged team work, sharing experience, new ideas and full participation. ‘Re Soma le Setshaba’.
