The Environmental Management Unit was at My Darling village in Blouberg Municipality to conduct a capacity training workshop on the management and protection of the Maleboho Nature Reserve, the minerals around community, biodiversity, and their water resources.The Environmental Management unit partnered with the Road Safety unit, Municipal Health Services, Disaster Management unit and other relevant external stakeholders such as LEDET, COGHSTA, DMRE (Department of Mineral Resource and Energy) and Blouberg Local Municipality.
The programme targeted youth, community forum members, ward committees, Traditional Leaders, Religious groups, volunteers, and the community at large. The capacity building workshop took place on 22 November 2023.
