The team also got their hands’ dirty cleaning at the Lesedi Community Creche at Mathibela. MMC Ramokolo handed over gifts in the form of learning toys, play toys, food parcels to the creche. Blankets and food parcels were handed over to some families, and Cllr. Ramokolo also gave the Mathibela Age in Action a first aid kit to use at their organization.
Cllr. Ramokolo spoke to members of the community who were in attendance about the illegal dumping happening along the Nkumpi River, where the river is littered mostly with disposable baby nappies. She urged the community to stop dumping waste at the river to avoid a crises like the outbreak of cholera, but rather consider acceptable ways of disposing waste.
The Principal of Lesedi Community Creche, Lettie Mogano, thanked CDM for the gifts.
