CDM, LNM join hands with Makotse Women’s Club

On 26 August 2021, as part of women’s month program, CDM together with Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality joined hands with Makotse Women’s Club to host Gender Based Violence dialogue and Entrepreneurship session.
The presentations on the program included learning the success story of Makotse Women’s Club, introduction of entrepreneurship skills development from Gender Links and GBV dialogue by Father a Nation Organization.
Makotse Women’s Club has stood the taste of time. It has remained intact amidst many challenges faced by many coorporatives across communities. The club pride itself with the continuous positive impact it has made on the lives of women in the area.
Makotse Women’s Club started in 1995 by 60 women with a garden behind the backyard of MaMello with an objective to create employment, alleviate poverty and empower women with information.
The project has bakery, gardening, creche and home based care.
