The District participated in the 67 minutes by identifying two old people in the area of Lepelle-Nkumpi who are celebrating their centenaries. “As CDM we have contributed by identifying these two old people within our district. Through Mandela’s integrity, courage and strength he showed by example what a single individual can achieve, and in so doing he instilled the belief that injustice, whether large or small, can be defeated” Executive Mayor said.

He further iterated that young people should focus on education for them to be able to interpret legislative frameworks, policies and other directives that the government is wanting to achieve. The Executive Mayor, in partnership with the Lepelle mayor Cllr Nakedi, bought winter gifts for the two old people who are both 100. That is Mr Thole and Mme Mothwa.
