Together with all South Africans, we extend deep sympathies and condolences to the Madikizela and Mandela families on this great loss.
Like a candle in the wind, her strength and determination carried her through the most difficult times of the struggle. Her resistance, defiance and resilience in the face of adversity served as inspiration to struggle veterans and generations of freedom fighters.
While we mourn her passing, we can, as the people of Capricorn, pay her no better tribute than to learn from her life and to rediscover and remain true to those values that guided her life.
